I just can not get over how ordinary this series is.

Game of thrones was a game changer in so many ways and inspired such frenzy in all of us. 

It was one of those rare series, which more people had watched, than had not watched!

Things could have ended better with it, I do agree.

But, then you would also have to admit that the Benioff-Weiss team set standards so high, that the flight had to experience some turbulence or even a rough landing.

It did!

But The House of the Dragon is a flight, which for me at least hasn't even achieved enough speed to take off! It is merely taxiing on the runway, with no clear set of instructions from the ATC.

It is bland and boring and now in episode 6, I am beginning to see more of Ekta Kapoor in it, than #GRRM.

If you think we #GOT fans were shortchanged with the last few episodes, be very sure that #HOTD, is the real travesty.

I didn't attempt to watch it at all when it was on Disney and even after its migration to Jio I was just not tempted, but having spent the better part of a recent holiday revisiting #GOT left me craving some #GRRM. And being bombarded with all the promos for the new season finally seduced me into watching this (if I may use the word) - abomination!

If you haven't already watched it or are planning to watch it do consider yourself duly warned!

Monica, O My Darling

Straight off the bat, let me tell you that I went into this movie cold. I just saw the trailer and put it on my watch list. I was totally enamored with the cast and the premise. I knew I was going to watch this one, so I didn't delve into the promotional shenanigans.  So if you are of the same bent of mind, stop reading and start watching.  And on your behalf, I did Google Ankola, it is a town in Karnataka and is not to be confused with Akola in Maharashtra. Ha ! Ha! Netflix has been delighting us with gems like Raat Akeli thi, Haseen dilruba and Bulbul. Add this one to that list and think Gehraiyaan. I need not stress on the proficient star cast. They are masters of their craft. Starting with the sneaky Rajkummar Rao, the sultry Huma Quereshi and the wily Radhika Apte, the ensemble includes the creepy Sukant Goel, the beleaguered Zayn Marie and many others.
