I am not respectable, but you think I am.

But when apart, I see no redeeming virtues in me.

I see in you immense reserves of strength.
When together, I know you have the potential to set off fireworks in your life.

When together, I see your edges fit mine seamlessly.
But when we are apart why do these edges make us bleed?

I see in you the beauty of a pure soul.
When together, this beauty permeates me.
But when apart why do you stop knowing this?

I see in you what you refuse to see for yourself.
When together, I share this vision with you.
But when apart why do you doubt?

Good Beginnings!

Just created a space for myself and dont know what to write here. But do know that i needed a space to vent,to muse,to express,to generally be silly! Lets see how it goes!

Thappad The prelude to the aria that is Thappad, is a dizzying runabout of a homemaker's humdrum daily chores. It serves to establish the roles each character has established for themselves. The husband played by newbie, Pavail Gulati is wonderfully self-obsessed and completely oblivious to anything but his own needs. The wife played by Tapsee Pannu ( as if we didn't know! Ha ha!) is on the other end of the spectrum. She is hyper aware of the needs of all those around her and revels in being needed and being able to be of service. The nuances that are written into the script are sheer brilliance. Consider the opening montage introducing the main characters to us. The wife being driven about, the girlfriend being received with love and finally a super successful lawyer finding freedom in hanging out a car window. The conversation that ensues between all of them, sketches skillfully the back stories of the lot of them. The movie is far from being a chest beating comment...

Monica, O My Darling

Straight off the bat, let me tell you that I went into this movie cold. I just saw the trailer and put it on my watch list. I was totally enamored with the cast and the premise. I knew I was going to watch this one, so I didn't delve into the promotional shenanigans. So if you are of the same bent of mind, stop reading and start watching. And on your behalf, I did Google Ankola, it is a town in Karnataka and is not to be confused with Akola in Maharashtra. Ha ! Ha! Netflix has been delighting us with gems like Raat Akeli thi, Haseen dilruba and Bulbul. Add this one to that list and think Gehraiyaan. I need not stress on the proficient star cast. They are masters of their craft. Starting with the sneaky Rajkummar Rao, the sultry Huma Quereshi and the wily Radhika Apte, the ensemble includes the creepy Sukant Goel, the beleaguered Zayn Marie and many others.
